Cape Town scoops gold as Africa's best city

Cape Town is the best and Knysna is not too shabby either.
That's according to the Condé Nast Traveller 2012 Readers' Choice Awards, which named them the first and second-best urban centres in Africa.
Cape Town also finished second, behind Charleston, US, in the top cities in the world category
This year 46476 readers of the award-winning magazine participated in the annual survey.
"This award is yet another vote of confidence in our beautiful city by the international community and fellow South Africans. Cape Town has shown again and again that it is the ideal place for leisure travel, studying, working and business," said Solly Malatsi, spokesman for Cape Town mayor Patricia de Lille.
Earlier this year Cape Town won the World Design Capital award.
