Beef cubes marinated in soy sauce and balsamic vinegar
cup (185ml) balsamic vinegar
cup (60ml) olive oil
cup (125ml) soy sauce
2 garlic cloves, crushed
2 tbsp (30ml) chutney
5 sprigs thyme
500g beef fillet, cubed
2 tbsp (30ml) olive oil
Combine the marinade ingredients in a medium bowl.
Place the fillet cubes in a bowl, pour over the marinade and refrigerate for at least an hour, turning occasionally.
Remove the cubes from the marinade and drain well.
Heat the oil in a non-stick pan.
Sear the cubes in batches to your liking.
Serve warm with Dijonnaise or truffle mayonnaise.
