Salmon roses filled with wasabi cream cheese

INGREDIENTS

1 tub (225g) cream cheese, softened

1 tsp (5ml) wasabi paste

1 tbsp (15ml) chopped fresh dill

2 tbsp (30ml) Japanese mayonnaise (Kewpi mayonnaise)

16 slices (approximately 350g) smoked salmon

1/3 cup caviar

7 spice powder

8 spring onions, finely sliced for garnish

METHOD

Combine cream cheese, wasabi, dill and mayonnaise in a small bowl.

Beat until light and creamy.

Spoon 1 tablespoon cream cheese mixture in the middle of each salmon slice.

Roll up each slice to resemble a rose and place on serving platter.

Top with a teaspoon of caviar and sprinkle with 7 spice powder and finely sliced spring onions.
