The Super rugby jackpot is well within sight for the Sharks, provided they keep on playing like they did when they beat the Waratahs at the weekend, coach Jake White suggested.

It is unclear whether injuries are to blame, but White has turned into quite a gambler, putting winger Lwazi Mvovo at fullback and Sibusiso Sithole at outside centre.

White praised Mvovo's measured performance in the alien position. But in reality the speedster was never really tested in the 32-10 win.

The Waratahs were muscled into submission and rarely probed the space between the Sharks' backline and its fullback.

And when they did, Mvovo had been sucked into the messy open play and was unable to cover-defend to prevent Bernard Foley from getting the visitors' only try.

Granted, the 78th-minute touchdown was meaningless to the result, but had Israel Folau been fit there might have been a different outcome.

The win puts the Sharks in an excellent position . They lead the Chiefs and Brumbies by six points at the top of the combined log and the Lions and Bulls by seven in the South African conference.
