Your editorial yesterday, "ANC can steal EFF's thunder by pushing service delivery", makes a pertinent point that "it does not help the ruling party or the nation to have ANC secretary-general Gwede Mantashe and some in President Jacob Zuma's cabinet comparing Malema to Hitler".
Malemaism represents the epitome of vulgarity and decay in the traditions of the ANC. It is an irony of history that right- wing forces in the ANC masquerading as revolutionaries were the midwives of Malema as a political phenomenon.
It is tragic that the proverbial chickens have come home to roost.
The lesson is crystal clear: Opportunism does not pay. As Amilcar Cabral taught revolutionaries, "tell no lies claim no easy victories". We dare not lull the vigilance of the masses by comparing Malema to Hitler because when a real Hitler arises from our political landscape, the masses will not respond. Indeed, the ANC must defeat Malema in the battle of service delivery and the relentless war on corruption.

Your editorial reads like a letter from the ANC to the party faithful. What we really need to do to "show how politically mature we are" is to stop electing buffoons altogether.
