The article "It's finally okay to be a woman and bright" (yesterday) on the finding by the American Sociological Review that women who are more intelligent than their husbands are likely to add to a happy marriage as much as any average intelligent wife, hardly seems a worthwhile study.
Any casual observer would find women to be of equal intelligence to men and would most likely conclude that women demonstrate a greater capacity for leadership and management skills, which is honed in organising their families' daily routine.
The trouble is, men in general view women as sexual objects, and so often fail to acknowledge the vital role they play in society. After all, women introduced civilisation to mankind.
