British model Daisy Lowe offers a solution to people who want to have their cake and eat it in her recipe book Sweetness and Light.

In the introduction, the self-confessed sugar addict said finding out that she is intolerant to wheat and dairy, and discovering natural products that are sweet but not harmful, led to her writing the book. She said she also realised that being healthy does not mean depriving yourself of tasty food, and she wanted readers to love themselves 'from the inside out'.

Sweetness and Light tackles a topic that is quite pertinent in a world where diabetes and obesity are on the rise. This is why you should enjoy this book if you want to eat desserts without compromising your health. The book includes vegan recipes as well as refined sugar-, gluten- and dairy-free recipes.

Sweetness and Light also includes recipes for chocolate brownies, frangipane tart and skinny puddings.

It proves that healthy food does not have to be boring.
