I was living in Bellville but I'm just too highly strung to sit in blerrie traffic all the time. I have better things to do, like braai or drink.

Why Tamboerskloof?

Nothing like a braai with my chommies and some cold doppe ... hopefully there's a rugby game on as well. I bought the house three years ago but still, technically, I am renting it from the bank.

What's your decor style?

It's hi-tech vintage crack- house.

Where do you go for a date?

If I've got a hot date I'll go to the Spur in the V&A Waterfront. If I'm feeling dik fancy, then a bar, any bar, just the closest bar.

For music?

Mabu Vinyl, in Gardens, is a pretty cool record shop. It's like dik vintage and hip and shit .

I go to Assembly in town for live music: it's cool, it has some kiff bands. I was there like a week ago. There was some oke from America there - he was kak.

To eat?

When I want a slap-up breakfast I go to Deer Park Cafe, in Vredehoek, so I can feel better about my life and see what normal people do.

If I want free wi-fi and great coffee, I'll go to the Vida near my house or I just make my own coffee and drive around in my car till I find someone that doesn't have a password on their wi-fi.

When there's something to celebrate with friends we'll go to Sergeant Peppers, in Long Street, because everyone is there. I have no idea what Banting is, but I like steak and braai broodjies. My favourite vleis is steak, my bru, and there's a lekker German butcher in Kloof Street.

The Daily Deli is lekker close to my house, otherwise the shop at the garage by the Engen in Gardens is probably my favourite, 'cause it's the only one that's usually open when I need food ... good "bad" food.

Sundowners?

For sundowners I'll go to, maybe like Rafikis, or like the beach, if I'm feeling fancy. And then either Jagermeister, brandy or otherwise like a turbo float ... which is a brandy and coke with ice cream in it.

Do you hike?

I like hiking up Skeleton Gorge 'cause it sounds like something from Indiana Jones, like there's going to be treasure along the way, or like German terrorists looking for some kind of diamond or shit.

And I like the cable car on my birthday because it's free ... you can actually do a LOT for free on your birthday in Cape Town.
