Opposition parties have forced the ANC to once again delay the adoption of a report recommending that EFF MPs be suspended.

The parties are also reviving Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa's political reconciliation efforts.

This forms part of a deal struck by opposition parties after proceedings were halted by almost seven hours on Wednesday night.

Ramaphosa's office and that of ANC Chief Whip Stone Sizani had earlier yesterday separately announced that the agreement to find political solutions to problems in parliament had collapsed.

This was after the DA went ahead with a motion to censure President Jacob Zuma on Wednesday for his non-appearance in the house to take oral questions.
