CBD or Sandton?

Mostly Sandton (Tumi). I like both (Liezel).

Best place for a picnic?

A quiet spot at Emmarentia Dam (Tumi). The Walter Sisulu Botanical Gardens are beautiful (Liezel).

Best place to get cultured?

The streets of Soweto (Tumi). There are great theatres, galleries, coffee shops and restaurants in Newtown (Liezel).

For people-watching?

There are always interesting people to see at the Neighbourgoods Market in Braamfontein (both).

Favourite places?

The roof bar at the Southern Sun hotel in Hyde Park, Fairlawns Boutique Hotel in Morningside Manor and The Saxon Boutique Hotel in Sandown (Tumi). Bryanston Organic Market, Moroka Dam in Soweto and The Lion Park in Lanseria, home to almost 100 lions, including the rare white lions (Liezel).

Favourite local musicians?

Cassper Nyovest, Black Coffee and Bucie (Tumi). Loyiso, Connel Cruise and Tamara Dey (Liezel).

Avoid like the plague?

The CBD, only because I don't enjoy driving there (Tumi). I don't avoid any place in Johannesburg (Liezel).

Surprise hangout?

Neighbourgoods, close to the CBD - see the contradiction in my above answer (Tumi). Joburg Market in City Deep, one of the largest fresh produce markets in the world (Liezel).

Most looking forward to doing in Joburg?

Staying at home and spending time with my family (Tumi). Hiring a fixed-speed bicycle from Fixin Diaries and going for a cycle in Soweto (Liezel).

Event you'd rather die than miss?

Ultra SA - I wouldn't miss it for the world (Tumi). I love Joburg Day (Liezel).

Hottest 'in' spot?

The latest developments at Maboneng (Tumi). The VIP Room, a club in the Michelangelo Towers (Liezel).
