Candice Swanepoel has lent her beautiful body and knack for style to Mother denim, all in aid of a good cause.

The 26-year-old supermodel has designed a capsule collection of seven pieces for the high-end jeans brand, a portion of the proceeds from which will go to mothers2mothers, an organisation based in Swanepoel's native South Africa.

The founders of Mother - Lela Becker and Tim Kaeding - approached Swanepoel for the project thanks to her personal style, which takes its cue from 1990s fashion. She worked hand-in-hand with Kaeding to design every little detail of the collection, even incorporating her family crest - a swimming swan - into each piece.

"I had such a great time developing this collection with Tim and Lela," said Swanepoel. "Not only was I able to explore my own creativity, but also garner attention and support for an organisation that saves lives and empowers women and mothers-to-be."

From mid-February, one jeans style and two styles of denim cut-offs will be available from stylebop.com.

Mothers2mothers employs, trains and empowers mothers living with HIV, who are known as "mother mentors", and who in turn provide life-saving education and support to other HIV-positive mothers.
