The Kingdom of Lesotho is again facing political turmoil, just weeks before national elections.

The SABC reported last night that King Letsie III had appointed Kananelo Mosito president of the Court of Appeal - after political parties had agreed to defer senior appointments until after the poll.

The appointment is allegedly in violation of the country's electoral laws.
