The class of 2015 can't be accused of lacking foresight.

All 1300 Early Bird passes for the year-end Rage Festival were sold out within seven minutes of going on sale at the weekend, the organisers announced yesterday.

The festival, which celebrated a decade in December, takes place at various venues in Ballito, Umhlanga and Durban North, KwaZulu-Natal, and attracts tens of thousands of school leavers.

Organisers announced that all Black and Platinum passes, the most sought-after tickets, had also sold out.

Will McIntyre, the festival director at G&G Productions, said: "Still nine months away, we have more than doubled the number of passports we have sold this year over the same period in 2014. Passports sell out even before we announce any of our artists or lineup."

The inaugural festival in 2005 hosted only 500 matriculants.
