Eric Cantona is returning to Manchester to film a comedy called The Mermaid Man, about a widower who sets up a synchronised swimming team. The former Manchester United striker has carved out a career as an actor since quitting football in 1997. The Mermaid Man will be the 30th film starring or directed by the former French international footballer.Cantona's character wants his new synchronised swimming team to win an international competition in London in honour of his dead wife, a former champion.The film will be directed by Stéphane Giusti. ..
