The two designers behind Erre have the same vision, a single dress that can be worn in 10 different ways. It was presented as part of Erre's collection at the SA Fashion Week Spring/Summer 2015 shows last week. The versatile dress that set fashion fundis' tongues wagging furiously is called the Myri. It is a simple solution to life in the fast lane, offering numerous looks.Conceptualised as part of Carina Louw and Natasha Jaume's vision for a brand that offers the modern woman a liberating new form of power-dressing, the Myri is a one-size-fits-all dress that can take you from the boardroom to the ballet and everything in between with a few deft twists and without missing a beat."The design works with classic lines that will outlast several fashion seasons without becoming dated. It also flatters a variety of body shapes," said the designers.Paired with a few key Erre staples, such as glamorous gloves, a statement belt or a butter-soft leather jacket, the Myri is sure to slot effortlessly into any wardrobe, allowing women the freedom to look fabulous in different outfits with the minimum amount of fuss. The dress comes in different fabric options, one of which is a new crepe jersey that does not wrinkle and can be laundered on the run, perfect for the woman on the move. This is not the first time we have seen a dress that can be worn a number of different ways. Black Coffee's ''Everyone can be a designer" dress is one of its staple products - a single piece that is incredibly versatile. It even came with a ''how to" pamphlet describing the different ways to wear it. The dress was launched at SA Fashion Week Winter in 2008.Black Coffee has also created similar designs with a skirt, a coat and a tunic that can be worn in different ways.Established in 2013, Erre (pronounced air) is the brainchild of two friends who recognise that a shared vision is better than one.''We realised if we combined our skills we would be a formidable team," said Jaume. The label's core item is a laser-cut leather jacket in many different shapes and sizes. With black as its signature colour, the brand offers the modern woman a liberating form of power-dressing.See www.erre-fashion.com..
