McCarthy robbed at gunpoint

Former Bafana Bafana player Benni McCarthy was robbed of his wristwatch, wedding ring and diamond earring while having a haircut at a barber shop in Melrose, Johannesburg, yesterday. The star had just arrived at the salon after landing at OR Tambo International Airport from Paris, France, when he was held up at gunpoint by three men.It is believed the robbers might have followed him from the airport. Police spokesman Lieutenant-Colonel Katlego Mogale said the suspects fled in a black BMW. A case of armed robbery is being investigated...
