Shakes Mashaba livid with De Sa

Bafana coach Shakes Mashaba has alleged that Ajax Cape Town refused to release players for the Cosafa Cup. A furious Mashaba also accused Ajax coach Roger de Sa of being duplicitous by claiming that players from the club are overlooked for national selection.Mashaba was speaking after his side's 7-6 penalties defeat against Botswana in the Cosafa Cup quarterfinals in Moruleng, North West on Sunday.He said Ajax had not made players available for the Cosafa tournament."They told us those players are not available," he said.Asked if this had also affected other national call-ups, Mashaba replied, "All of them."Mashaba said he was even more angry because De Sa claimed his players were being overlooked."I need people to be honest. Don't give false things to people." I want coach Roger to come forward and say, 'Ja, I'm here - you don't select Cape Town players'."When I went to Cape Town we had a meeting. We were with an Ajax director and I said to [De Sa], 'make the players available'. And they flatly said, 'no, those players can't go'."And now I was shocked to see that article saying Ajax players were overlooked. And if you talk national team, you're talking about me. You're making me look bad."You make me look like I'm mingling and mixing my words."The quote in question from De Sa was made at the PSL Awards on May 17, when he said that Ajax Cape Town players were being overlooked for national teams...
