Rider scales the heights on 'Strictly'

Her toes are blistered and she's terrified of being lifted, but 5FM's Sureshnie Rider is ready to make the most of competing in Strictly Come Dancing. "There are a few lifts in the sequences and I'm terrified of the heights, so I've had to really prepare myself mentally to look up and keep everything together," Rider said yesterday after Strictly Come Dancing season eight's list of contestants was revealed.Besides Rider, other dancing celebrities include Zaziwa presenter Pearl Modiadie, Expresso presenter Leigh-Anne Williams, Afrikaans pop star Karlien van Jaarsveld and television's Bridget Masinga.The men taking part areMuvhango star Nkululeko Tshirumbula, former Blue Bulls player Gary Botha, rapper Siyabonga "Slikour" Metane, ex- Bafana player Stanton Fredericks and comedian Jason Goliath.Modiadie, who is also a MetroFM show host, said she was concerned about injuries."The injuries are scary, but they are inevitable when you are pushing yourself to improve at every challenge," she said.Strictly Come Dancing will be broadcast on SABC3 at 7.30pm this Friday...
