Return fire: Ex-'Generations' star switches channels

Going from villain to good cop, former Generations actor Menzi Ngubane hopes to show off his wide acting range on SABC's rival channel, e.tv. Yesterday was Ngubane's first day on the set of Ashes to Ashes.He plays Nkonzo Mazibuko, a no-nonsense policeman who does everything by the book. Ngubane spent nine months not working after the SABC fired him and 15 other Generations actors following a wage dispute.He said he used the time to recover from his kidney operation and prepared for the role by watching cop series and movies, of which he has always been a fan.He said it felt good to be in front of cameras again, and he was even more excited to be working with some of his former Generations colleagues, saying nothing beat the feeling of the tight-knit group being back together...
