Former Bafana Bafana striker Katlego "Killer" Mphela was yesterday spotted training with University of Pretoria players as he sought to prove he was back in shape. Mphela,despite being one of the best finishers in the PSL, was let go by Kaizer Chiefs a few weeks ago after being plagued by injuries in recent seasons.If amaTuks could capture a fit Mphela, 30, it would be a huge coup for the club. Sources close to the player have told Times Media he acknowledges that he must regain his match fitness if he is to continue his career.Mphela's 23 goals for the national team place him in joint-third on the all-time Bafana scorers' list with Bernard Parker.He started just 13 league games in the past three seasons at Mamelodi Sundowns and Chiefs, managing only eight goals in that time. He would need to take a considerable pay cut if he joins amaTuks because of the club's small budget...
