Tiger Tiger assault case dropped

Attempted murder charges against three men following an incident last year at Tiger Tiger nightclub in Claremont were dropped and the case was withdrawn in Wynberg Magistrate's Court yesterday. Mitchell Turner, 20, Chad de Matos, 19, and Aaron Mack, 20, all of East London, were arrested in October after cleaner Delia Adonis, 52, alleged that they and two other young men beat her viciously. She claimed that her son, Tesh-Lee, had intervened in the assault.The trio were arrested, denied bail and spent a night in prison. Their attorney, William Booth, made an urgent High Court application for their release.The provincial director of public prosecutions declined to prosecute and withdrew all charges.Two other men implicated in the incident will now not be charged.Booth said yesterday that the men and their families were considering criminal and civil action against Adonis and her son."She assaulted one of my clients with a broomstick. She was the perpetrator. She alleged this was a racist attack, which is a blatant lie," said Booth...
