Good Reception: Bet on Tlale to impress

David Tlale delighted Americans when he dressed Beyoncé's mother, Tina Knowles-Lawson, and her husband, Richard Lawson, at the weekend. Tlale was one of 20 designers chosen to showcase at the Black Entertainment Awards Experience, a two-day lifestyle event in Los Angeles.His collection, which was well received by the American audience, included the outfits worn by Knowles-Lawson and her husband."I didn't do a new collection, I just restyled and rearranged existing pieces, but I was impressed by the reception," said Tlale."The highlight of the show was when Tina came backstage to congratulate me," he added.The 15-piece showcase featured a mix of Tlale's previous collections from Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week New York 2015 and New York Fashion Week Autumn/Winter 2014.The award-winning designer also presented the BET Global Good Award at this year's BET Awards.
