Couple critical after plane crash

A flying trip ended in tragedy yesterday when a small aircraft crashed at the East London airport. The injured, who were airlifted to hospital, are believed to be a husband, wife and their three children from Margate in KwaZulu-Natal.The aircraft was apparently being flown by the husband, who is thought to have experienced difficulty landing due to strong winds.Airports Company of South Africa (Acsa) spokesman Collin Naidoo said the aircraft crash-landed on the main runway.Provincial health spokesman Sizwe Kupelo said the two adults were critically injured and the children sustained minor injuries. ..
