Customer 'plastered' after whinge

The owners and employees of a Cape Town restaurant are hitting back at a drunk customer. On Friday a patron at Massimo's objected to chef Eric Bopili wearing a plaster on his forehead while preparing food.Owner Massimo Orione said the man accused his employee of being HIV-positive."He took me outside and the first thing he said was: 'I'm a little drunk and I'm not a doctor. I'm from Zim and I recognise that guy'."Orione told himthe chef was from the Democratic Republic of the Congo.But the man continued: "Oh, if he's from DRC it must be Ebola. He must be from West Africa and have Ebola and I don't want him to cook my food."The next day, the customer posted an acerbic review of the restaurant on TripAdvisor. The restaurant fought back by replying to the post and launching a plaster campaign.It offered a shot of Limoncello to anyone who wore a plaster. To date, it has given away 40 free shots and all its employees are wearing plasters."This shows utter ignorance about how diseases are spread," said Tracy Orione.The customer said he feared the chef had a boil on his face...
