iPhone survives 2.8km fall

Texan Ben Wilson's iPhone fell 2.8km while he was travelling in a small aircraft. He not only found the device, but found it in working condition. A pressure change caused the aircraft's door to crack open a few centimetres, and the iPhone slipped out.Wilson only noticed it was gone after landing at Kickapoo Airport in Wichita Fall.The Find My iPhone app was to track it down some 110km away in Joplin, Texas.With the help of a donkey he befriended on the way (seriously), he found the phone lying under a tree.Said Wilson: "It was in one piece, scratched a bit on the corners but it still worked."The iPhone was in a Mophie case - which might have been what saved it - and the only thing missing was the external battery...
