Dating tool gives women the lowdown

If you want to know whether your prospective date is #goodinbed, has #rubbishmates, wears #tightjeanpants and is #notoverhisex, a controversial new app will give you the heads-up before you go on that potentially awkward first date. Lulu, the first app for dating intelligence, is becoming increasingly popular with South African women wishing to gain insight into prospective dates. It was launched two years ago by ecnomics graduate Alexander Chong.However, detractors have lambasted Lulu for its seemingly sexist approach, with some petitioning that it be banned.The private app allows for females to express and share their opinions about the weaknesses and strengths, manners, appearances, spending habits and career ambitions of their dates.Johannesburg sexologist Prof Elna McIntosh said she understood why the app irked some men."I can see how men may notlike this, because they may feel unfairly judged. We hope that women will use it responsibly and not just for revenge."A Lulu review is a multiple-choice quiz, where women answer questions about a guy friend's sense of humour, manners, ambition, commitment level and appearance.Women, who remain anonymous, select from a list of best and worst quality hashtags #RespectsWomen, #RudetoWaiters, #LovesASnuggle, #MarryHim and #NotOverHisEx. Men are rated out of 10.The app also offers hashtags for South Africans such as #HartKlopTjoklits (hearts beats crazy), #IntliziyoEntle (beautiful heart) and #RokJagter (skirt chaser). According to Lulu, more than a million guys have signed up to get feedback from women...
