Expo to get you thinking

Hello Ambassador's third annual Creative Festival takes place in Johannesburg next week with a two-day conference, a creativity and innovation expo, workshops and the Hello Ambassador awards, which celebrate creative excellence. More than 30 speakers, including novelist Lauren Beukes, DJ Black Coffee, rapper-poet-MC Tumi Molekane and singer- songwriter Nonku Phiri will present talks.Co-founder of Nando's Robbie Brozin will speak about the chain's art initiative, which showcases the work of talented but disadvantaged Southern African artists in Nando's restaurants around the world.Filmmaker and co-founder of Fly on the Wall Productions Bryan Little will discuss new ways of storytelling in what he calls ''FutureFilm", which combines experiments in new technology, real locations, audience participation and nonlinear narrative.The Artist Proof Studio will showcase its art collectives, while Timeless Electric Tattoo will have new designs in tattoo art on display.Anastasia Pather will exhibit what she calls her "process in the act of painting and the visceral emotion expressed through my body onto the canvas".The expo also includes fashion by Kant clothing, second-hand clothes, alternative clothing label Wake by Pieter Burger, and many more.
