Rhodes launches K-word inquiry

Rhodes University is investigating a student for racist remarks after a screen grab of a WhatsApp conversation using the "K" word was posted on the student representative council (SRC) Facebook page. Rhodes spokesman Catherine Deiner said yesterday the probe of alleged breach of the student disciplinary code would continue when students returned from holiday next week.The student was expected to explain in a hearing why he should not be suspended.SRC president Zikisa Maqubela urged officials yesterday to take "strong action against such unbecoming conduct"...
