Amakhosi haven't got ticket to Cape yet

Kaizer Chiefs' plans to play three of their Absa Premiership matches at Cape Town Stadium were scotched yesterday when the City of Cape Town said it never gave them final approval. On the PSL fixture list, Chiefs were scheduled to play Bidvest Wits (December 19), Platinum Stars (January 24) and Supersport United (February 20) at the venue.But it appears Chiefs jumped the gun.Garreth Bloor, the city' s special events committee chairman, said Chiefs' proposal to play the games in Cape Town had not yet been approved "at a political level".Bloor also rejected "unfounded accusations" that the city council intended to pay Chiefs to play at the venue."Nothing could be further from the truth," he said.Chiefs communications manager Vina Maphosa said the club would issue a statement on the matter next week.Bloor also slammed Ajax Cape Town for branding the proposal an intrusion on their home turf."For Ajax to cry foul is quite surprising since they do not pay rental, do not pay for city costs and do not share the risk proportionally for the use of the stadium," he said...
