SA actor still jolly in Hollywood

South African-born US actor Stelio Savante seems to be having a good year - and it is only getting better. The actor, producer and writer who grew up in Cape Town has scored himself roles in the upcoming films Avalanche and Rapid Eye Movement.In Avalanche Savante plays a librarian who is trapped in the same house as his wife (Autumn Withers) and her lover (South African Gideon Emery), forcing them to navigate through the chaotic fallout of their indiscretions.It is directed by Todd L Green, who received the 2015 Houston Arts Alliance Individual Artist Grant for the movie, and was awarded best director at the 2013 IFQ Festival for Louis Grant .Peter Bishai, the director of Rapid Eye Movement , previously directed the Safta winner A Million Colours , in which Savante starred.Savante will also star in the new Broadway play Jeremiah 5:1 , alongside David Morse of The Green Mile fame.Savante's acting career spans over 20 years and has earned him roles in top TV shows like Law & Order, The Sopranosand Ugly Betty as well as films such asA Beautiful Mind. ..
