Based on the number of parties taking place this month, October should be declared a "dress rehearsal" for the festive season. On Saturday next week, the first African Music Concert takes place at the Expo Centre Johannesburg and will feature artists from South Africa, Tanzania and Nigeria.Fans will be treated to more than 10 hours of music from local hip-hop royalty such as Wizkid, AKA, Davido and KO, to name a few.The concert was planned with the aim of uniting Africans and will be hosted in various countries across the globe over the next five years.Rapper KO, whose name is Ntokozo Mdluli, described the concert as an opportunity for local artists to network with other African counterparts."It's a huge platform. Some of the artists on the lineup have made a huge impact on the continent ... so this will be an opportunity for us to feed off each other and increase our reach," said Mdluli. The show will be hosted by Metro FM DJ T'bo Touch and Nigeria's Olisa Odibua.Tickets cost between R350 and R450 for general access and golden circle, and R3000 for VVIP, which also includes entry to the after-party with the artists and access to the services of a butler...
