Drama queen Bonang missing in action

Dubbed "South Africa's premium sidechick" when nominated for a Feather Award, Bonang Matheba won the drama queen of the year prize - but did not pitch up to accept it. Held at the Johannesburg City Hall, the Chevrolet Feather Awards lived up to their reputation as a celebration of everything that is pink, and has sequins and glitter.Hosts for the night were sexy TV personality Lootlove and comedian TallA$$Mo, who appeared in drag. Actor and presenter Lumko Johnson led the party down the pink carpet.Somizi Mhlongo, in white with a leaf-green blazer, was dressed courtesy of LV, Tommy Hilfiger and D&G.He said: ''Expensive things are not supposed to make a noise, they're meant to be seen and appreciated.''Also there were Khanyi Mbau, wearing a snake-patterned jumpsuit, Afro queen Simphiwe Dana, rocking a silk jumpsuit, and Nompendulo Mkhatshwa of #FeesMustFall fame, sporting her helmet of courage - the doek.Role model of the year was leading LGBTI and human rights activist Steve Letsike.Ricky Rick walked away with the musician of the year award.Mpho Maboi received the sports personality of the year gong.Home Affairs Minister Malusi Gigaba was named the best-styled male.Fag hag of the year went to actor Atandwa Kani...
