16 November 2015 - 02:13 By Azizzar Mosupi

More than 11 million viewers cast their votes for finalists in the 11th season of Idols SA last night. The golden boy from Alberton, on the East Rand, Rhema Varrie, exited the competition, leaving Mmatema Moremi, from Limpopo, and Mpumalanga's Karabo Mogane, to go head-to-head for the title.Last week Varrie put his head on the chopping block when he forgot the lyrics to the Jackson Five hit, I Want You Back. His off-beat tune left the judges disappointed. Judge Somizi Mhlongo, also known as Somgaga, said Varrie would have to put the Bible and muti together if he hoped to make it to the next round.Mogane was the first of the finalists to perform last night, with a soulful rendition of Michael Bublé's Home.Judge Gareth Cliff told him: "You're at home on that stage. They love you. We all love you."Moremi's first performance of the night was Adele's latest hit, Hello . Cliff said she could have won the competition on that song. When asked how they felt about being among the Top 2, they said they were blessed. The final takes place at Carnival City, Brakpan, East Rand, on Sunday...
