Now that there's a magazine cover it's official - Nompendulo Mkatshwa is the face of the #FeesMustFall movement. The image of Mkatshwa, the incoming Wits University SRC president, on the cover of Destiny magazine's December issue has evoked praise and criticism.A few months ago, little was known about Mkatshwa. Now, according to many, she is being compared to a young Lillian Ngoyi and other female stalwarts who fought against apartheid.Social media responses to the leader on the magazine's cover ranged from outrage and disgust to praising her as an "African queen" who "slayed".On Twitter, @Msomifaya said: "Headgear aside, I feel that Destiny Magazine covering Nompendulo as a focal point of the #FeesMustFall movement is a dangerous angle."@Unathi_Kwaza said: "So Destiny Magazine has reduced the whole #Feesmustfall movement to Nompendulo. Talk about cheap journalism. Tabloid trash."@TankiEm said: "That Cover is an insult to each and every damn student who gave a voice, tears, blood and heart to [the movement]".But Outgoing Wits SRC president Shaeera Kalla has come to Mkatshwa's defence. On Twitter she said: "It's deeply saddening how people will now fight about recognition, who was there through it all & who wasn't. Who cares? The struggle continues!"Yesterday Mkatshwa said that: "I as Nompendulo am not Nompendulo on my own, I exist within a structure."..
