Mugabe health rumours surface once again

Rumours about President Robert Mugabe's health are circulating once again. Mugabe, 91, is on his annual holiday in the Far East, but UK tabloid The Daily Star reported speculation that he had suffered a heart attack.Yesterday, Zimbabwe government sources refused to comment on an issue they said always crops up in January, when Mugabe takes his annual vacation. Vice-President Emmerson Mnangagwa is acting president in Mugabe's absence.Pictures of the Mugabes holi-daying in what is understood to be a country in the Far East are trending on social media.Mugabe has routine medical check-ups in Singapore, one of his favourite holiday destinations. He is expected back at work at the end of this month.Speculation about the ageing president's health was fuelled last year when he stumbled on a red carpet. Mugabe also read the wrong speech during the official opening of the third session of the eighth parliament last year...
