Oprah gets $12.5m richer after single 'bread' tweet

A tweet by Oprah Winfrey, in which she claims to have lost almost 12kg by following a Weight Watchers' healthy-eating programme - while still eating bread every day - has seen the diet company's US share prices skyrocket by 20%. It closed at $13.29 a share.Winfrey is said to own 6.4million shares in the company, about 10% of the stock, after she became a board member in October 2015.The recent spike in share prices equates to a $12.5-million earning for Winfrey on a single tweet, or more than $3-million an hour.In the video advertisement that appears in the tweet, Winfrey states that she "loves bread" and that she now "just manages it".Winfrey said: "I don't deny myself bread every day.
