Orlando Pirates will host Kaizer Chiefs in the first round of the 2016 Nedbank Cup after the old foes were drawn together to kick off the competition.

It is the first time in nine years that they will clash in South Africa's FA Cup, which ensures that one of them will be missing from the second round.

It will be their fourth meeting since Chiefs ousted Pirates from the Telkom Knockout in November.

The Soweto giants meet tomorrow at FNB stadium in a league derby clash.

The last 32 of the Nedbank Cup is scheduled for March 2-8, with exact fixture dates, venues and kick-off times to be determined by the PSL cup committee.

The second round will be played from April 2-6, with the quarterfinals slated for April 23-24.

The semifinals will take place on the weekend of May 14-15, with the final scheduled for May 28, bringing down the curtain on the 2015-2016 South African domestic season.
