ANC says Fransman can't lead
ANC Western Cape leader Marius Fransman will lose his job as opposition leader in the provincial legislature.
ANC national spokesman Zizi Kodwa confirmed yesterday that the party had decided Fransman could not continue to lead the party in the provincial legislature after being asked by the party's top brass to step aside as provincial chairman while allegations of sexual harassment against him were being investigated.
"Our advice was that, if you step aside as provincial chairperson, you step aside from all leadership positions," said Kodwa.
Provincial leaders will select a replacement on Friday.
