Hollywood stars ditch Kenya for SA

What do Hollywood power couple Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt have in common with actress Hilary Swank? They may be heading to South Africa in the "coming months" to shoot two different movies - both relating to Kenya. Reports in Kenyan publications say the three have ditched filming in Kenya in favour of South Africa."The verdict is out; Kenya is winning the war against malaria but losing the battle in making the country an attractive filming location," the Daily Nation reported.Pitt will star in a film called Africa that will be directed by Jolie. The film, penned by Oscar-winning scriptwriter Eric Roth, is based on a true story about anti-poaching activist Richard Leakey.Million Dollar Baby star Swank is the leading actress in an as yet untitled movie about the Westgate Mall siege in Nairobi, Kenya, in 2013, in which 65 people died. Film producer Richard Harding said he regretted that Kenya was not exploiting its competitive locations...
