'Work' is fun: RiRi gets jiggy with Drake

24 February 2016 - 02:37 By Leonie Wagner

Rihanna and Drake are proof that being friends with your ex-beau can work. The Barbadian singer, who turned 28 at the weekend, released her much anticipated music video for her single Work on Monday. In true RiRi style, she released two music videos for the sultry dancehall track, taken off her latest album, ANTI. While the song, which features Canadian rapper Drake, might not be their best collaboration, the video is undeniably their steamiest visual offering. Apart from being watched more than 11 million times on YouTube, the seven-minute video also reached number one on the Billboard Hot 100 list. This is Rihanna's 14th single to top the chart, pushing her past the King of Pop, Michael Jackson, who made it to the top 13 times.Only The Beatles and Mariah Carey have had more number ones - 20 and 18 respectively. In both segments of the video - one set in a Caribbean restaurant turned club and the other in a private lit neon pink and purple room - the duo grind and twerk against each other. The release of the music video saw some fans urging Drake to marry Rihanna@kylaah1 said: "Drake needs to wife Rihanna up real quick."But rapper Azealia Banks was less than complimentary. She tweeted: " Work video reminds me of [Beyoncé's] Baby Boy video with Sean Paul except not as fly."Banks said the video was typical of the music industry's present "mediocrity"...
