Zephany accused 'relieved' the truth is out

The woman accused of snatching newborn Zephany Nurse from her sleeping mother's arms 18 years ago says she wanted to reveal the truth but could not find the right moment to do so.In an exclusive interview with eNCA's Annika Larssen, the 51-year-old said when a DNA test revealed Zephany was not her biological child it "was a load off my shoulders"."Thank the Lord the biological parents found her," she said. "I just want to tell them I'm happy that they found her."She stood by her story that she had not kidnapped the baby from Groote Schuur Hospital on April 30 1997 but had paid a woman R3,000 for what she believed was a legal adoption.Her husband said in the interview he had no idea the child was not his. Asked how he had felt on learning the truth, he said: "I was devastated ... broken."Asked how he felt about his wife, he said: "She's my wife.
