Not happy with your nose and want to check out a plastic surgeon? There's an app for that in China and it lets you share your before and after photos.

SoYoung Technology, the developer of the application, has attracted financing of around $50-million from Tencent Holdings, a Chinese investments holding company owned by South Africa's Naspers, according to the company on Monday.

The money will be used to develop cloud computing technology as the app considers loan-financing to help younger people get surgery. The Beijing company is valued at nearly 3billion yuan (R7.3-billion).

There have been about 10million downloads of its SoYoung app and it is trying to enlist 200 clinics and thousands of plastic surgeons to its platform within three years.

It is trying to tap into a market for aesthetics-oriented medical services that is expected to double in value to $11.3-billion over the next five years, according to a prospectus from Union Medical Healthcare.

Tencent, Asia's biggest internet company, with interests in media, entertainment, and internet and cellphone value-added services, will work closely with SoYoung.
