Mother of all fundraisers
Deadline.com reports that a documentary on rock's zaniest character - composer, performer and activist Frank Zappa, who died in 1993, has become the biggest funded documentary on crowdfunding site Kickstarter's history. Directed by Alex Winter, the film, Who The F*@% Is Frank Zappa, has already raised more than $880000. This beats the previous Kickstarter documentary record, set by a film about Bill Nye, TheScience Guy, which raised $850000.Following his Oscar-nominated performance as blacklisted screenwriter Dalton Trumbo, Breaking Bad's Bryan Cranston is now taking on the role of US President Lyndon B Johnson. The HBO film of All the Way debuts this July.
