The showdown in the civil case between the University of Stellenbosch and SA Rugby CE Jurie Roux took a small step forward on Wednesday after months in limbo. The university finally supplied Roux's lawyer with documents requested in December. It took a court application for the university to eventually comply.Roux's attorney, Frikkie Erasmus, said there was a mountain of documentation to wade through to make sure that the university has complied with all their requests. The civil charges relate to Roux's time as president of the Maties Rugby Club 2002-10.Roux is being sued for R37-million after auditing firm KPMG was employed by the university to audit Maties Rugby Club's financial dealings. The report found that between 2002 and 2010 about R21-million was irregularly transferred from the university's reserve funds to the rugby club.A further R14-million was listed as irregular expenditure."We only received what we requested last December yesterday. We now have a number of days to go through it as per the court rules," Erasmus said."If we are satisfied with the latest set of documents we will file a plea, but if not we will have to go back to court to ask for them again."..
