Mark Mayambela is on the verge of leaving Supersport United, just four months into his three-and-a-half-year contract there. Mayambela, whose attitude towards the game has been questioned by his Matsatsantsa coach, Stuart Baxter, arrived at the club in January from Chippa United."Mark has been disciplined because we were not happy with his attitude towards his job both on and off the field," Baxter said.The former Kaizer Chiefs coach refused to divulge the alleged transgressions, and the player did not fulfil promises via SMS to return The Times's calls.Baxter made it clear he would not tolerate ill-discipline and demands players set a good example."We want to set standards. I have spoken to Mark two or three times. That's the situation and the club stepped in over one incident that was way off the mark. You'd better talk to the club about it," he said.Supersport CEO Stan Matthews could not be reached for comment.Mayambela, who has made three starts and one substitute's appearance , appears to be on his way out. Baxter was non-committal, though, regarding Mayambela's future."Mark has a contract with us and I think we have obligations in that contract. He's been disciplined and whether he trains or not, that's up to the club and Mark to come to an agreement," the coach said.Baxter said the 28-year-old still had a lot to offer United, but that depended on his attitude towards the game.The player's agent Tim Sukazi was unavailable for comment.Baxter believes his team can prolong their unbeaten run when they meet Bidvest Wits in an Absa Premiership match at Lucas Moripe Stadium tonight.United have won four and drawn two of their last six games in all competitions. Baxter was confident they could upset title chasers Wits.The coach, whose side beat Mpumalanga Black Aces 2-1 in their Nedbank Cup quarterfinal on Friday, believes his charges have improved markedly since he replaced Gordon Igesund in January."If we compare what I saw in front of me in the first week, and what we showed in the second half against Aces, there is a massive difference.
