I love my shop: Tread+Miller - Footwear for the well-heeled urban man

One of the stand-out new stores at the recently opened Mall of Africa is Tread+Miller, a range of predominantly local footwear for the man who cares about quality and style. Kenneth Barlow spoke to Andrea Nagel about his shopWhen was Tread+Miller established?At the end of August 2015. Since then we've opened 14 stores across South Africa. There's now a footwear destination dedicated to the style-focused South African man (there's a limited offering for ladies). We've also launched an online store to offer customers the opportunity to shop from anywhere in South Africa.Any speciality products?We offer a range of products to protect, clean and restore any leather footwear available in our stores. These products are locally made and include suede and nubuck protectors, cleaners and renovators, as well as leather polishers, balms and creams.We have our own brand, Arthur Jack, and locally produced Crockett & Jones, plus international brands.Who designed the shop?International award-winning design company, Dakota. The decor is wood and leather with chairs and ottomans reminiscent of a gentlemen's club.Favourite shoe from your range?My black Arthur Jack Marshalls - they're plain black toecap shoes, with leather uppers and soft leather lining.Soundtrack in your shop?Electro-swing with a little progressive house in between.What styles of shoe do you sell?Boots, brogues, dress shoes and sneakers. The focus is on quality and craftsmanship.Describe your store in a sentence.The urban man's footwear destination...
