Actor back after crippling accident

Mokoena was running near his home in Vanderbijlpark South when he was hit by a car."The car's mirror was still clipped on me when they found me," Mokoena, 33, said.He said it took him two months to regain mobility after suffering multiple fractures to his right leg."I couldn't walk, I couldn't run, so I had to work my way from a wheelchair to crutches."The father of one said he was in hospital for a month and received trauma counselling, adding that a private investigator was probing the matter.The actor revealed the details of his ordeal on Facebook.Mokoena described the incident as a "hate crime" because witnesses said "the driver and his passenger w ere white males"."The hate part of it was someone didn't stop to check on me," he said .He said he was forced to give up some work opportunities as a result of his injuries but this week he will be back in the spotlight with the release of Mrs Right Guy, which will open at cinemas this Friday.In the film, Mokoena plays playboy Dumile.Mokoena said that this would probably be his last romantic comedy role."I drive my career to suit where I want to go," he said.In August he will be back with the TV series High Rollers. This is his first role following his accident."I feel so hungry. I still have so much I want to do," Mokoena said...
