You've watched them terrorising top-flight teams in the Nedbank Cup. Now Baroka FC, from Ga-Mphahlele, in Limpopo, will do that every week next season after winning automatic promotion to the Absa Premiership yesterday. Striker Thabiso Kutumela said goodbye to Baroka supporters in spectacular fashion, scoring 20 minutes from time to secure a 1-1 draw against Cape club Milano United and promotion. It was not the perfect result for the club on the final day of the season but it was a perfect moment for a player who has been phenomenal in Baroka's charge to the title.Kutumela, who is to join Orlando Pirates, had his penalty saved in the 40th minute by Milano goalkeeper Lee Langeveldt. But he later redeemed himself with his 18th goal of the season. The goal sparked wild celebrations. Baroka had gone down to a Mzwanele Mahashe goal in the first half but they and coach Kgoloko Thobejane did not panic. They kept pushing forward until they found a chink in the Milano armour in the 70th minute.Thobejane wore a suit on the touchline and seemed calm.Baroka have been impressive this season, playing without fear. They have done their talking on and off the pitch. From the fourth tier to the top, Baroka's journey has been sensational. The players can look forward to a great party and bonuses from chairman Khurishi Mphahlele, who has dreamt of this moment since 2007.Now the people of Ga-Mphahlele village can walk tall knowing that they have a club in the PSL...
