Adele serenades SA couple

It's not every day that fans get serenaded by their favourite artist, especially not when going down on one knee to propose to their significant other.But this is the exact scenario that played out for Capetonians Ross Levin and Nicholas Markovitz in Barcelona last week when multiple award-winning singer and songwriter Adele welcomed them onto the stage and shared their moment with them.As Levin proposed, Adele belted out Make You Feel My Love.Levin, speaking last night just after he and Markovitz landed back in South Africa, said that they were "still on cloud nine" thinking about what had happened."She just started to sing to us. My heart was palpitating. I've been carrying this for months and I'm not the best at keeping secrets."He didn't know whether to look at her, or to look at me. I think it was so emotional for both of us, having come so far together."We were so caught up in the moment that we almost didn't notice the tens of thousands of people around us. We were just hugging each other and dancing while she serenaded us," he said.Levin said he and Markovitz had been together for four years and had recently joked about getting engaged.Even this kidding around was a big step for Levin, who was married and had two children before coming out only six years ago."We often joked that it would be mundane, like him dropping to his knees to ask me while we were brushing our teeth or something like that."But, I wanted to create an engagement to show that marrying him was significant," he said.And that he certainly did - much to the envy of his friends."Some of our friends have said they can't propose now to their boyfriends or girlfriends, asking us: 'What do we do after that?'," said Levin...
