Arson fear at Wits campus

Wits University is investigating an apparent attempt to burn down a campus building at the weekend. Two balaclava-clad suspects were caught on CCTV breaking into the law library early on Saturday.University officials found gas canisters in the library.Wits spokesman Shirona Patel said the break-in happened at about 2am and that the canisters were found at 8am."Staff smelled gas and alerted security. We do not know if the suspects are students."Patel said police are investigating and that security had been increased on the campus."The university believes this was a deliberate attempt to burn down the building," Patel said...
